NDIS Information
Acacia Nursing Services provides specialist disability nursing supports to NDIS participants with complex health and high-intensity care needs.
We understand that navigating the NDIS can feel overwhelming. Our role is to ensure participants receive clinically appropriate nursing care that aligns with their goals, supports their safety, and meets NDIS funding criteria.
How Nursing Supports Are Funded
NDIS nursing supports may be funded under different support categories depending on the participant’s plan and needs.
Core Supports
Nursing tasks that assist with daily living and high-intensity personal activities may be funded under Core Supports.
This includes assistance with complex personal care tasks that require a nurse’s clinical skill or oversight.
High Intensity Daily Personal Activities
Participants with complex health needs may receive funding for High Intensity Supports. These supports require specialised training, delegation, and clinical oversight to ensure safe delivery.
We work collaboratively with participants and support coordinators to clarify funding categories and ensure services are delivered in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide and Practice Standards.
Capacity Building Supports
Nursing assessment, education, training, and health management planning may be funded under Capacity Building supports.
This can include continence assessments, clinical risk reviews, and support worker training.
